Why Rural Development is needed ?

In many countries, including India, rural areas often face significant challenges such as poverty, lack of infrastructure, and limited access to basic services. Therefore, the need for rural development initiatives is paramount. Our organization is committed to implementing impactful rural development programs that address the most pressing needs of communities. Here are some of our major initiatives:
Forest Rights Act (FRA) Program:
Under the Forest Rights Act program, we work closely with rural citizens to secure their legal rights to land. Through advocacy and outreach efforts, we have empowered 70 individuals in the Hazaribagh and Chatra Districts of Jharkhand by facilitating the transfer of land ownership (Patta) to eligible beneficiaries. Our collaboration with the Jharkhand Joint Bagaicha Mukti Morcha (JJBM) and JVM Mission underscores our commitment to promoting social justice and empowering marginalized communities.
Dignity for Work Program:
In partnership with Goonj, our Dignity for Work Program focuses on infrastructure development in rural areas. From building muddy roads to improving sanitation and water supplies, we aim to enhance the quality of life for rural residents. As a token of appreciation for their efforts, volunteers involved in these projects receive kits filled with essential home-based items. To date, we have distributed over 1000 kits to local citizens in Jharkhand, demonstrating our dedication to fostering community engagement and empowerment.
Swachh Bharat Mission:
Aligned with the government’s Swachh Bharat Mission, our organization is actively involved in initiatives to promote cleanliness and sanitation in rural areas. Through our efforts, we work to remove waste from roads and public spaces, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for rural communities. Additionally, we have constructed over 500 toilets to improve sanitation facilities and promote hygiene practices among rural citizens in Jharkhand. By partnering with government schemes and engaging local communities, we are making significant strides towards achieving the goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
