SISTERHOOD IS POWERFUL

Why Women Empowerment is Needed ?

In today’s dynamic world, the call for women empowerment resounds louder than ever before. It’s not merely a moral or ethical obligation but a pragmatic necessity for societal progress and sustainable development. Women, comprising half of the global population, possess immense potential and talent waiting to be harnessed. However, systemic barriers, cultural norms, and economic disparities often impede their full participation and contribution to society. Thus, the imperative for women empowerment is clear: it’s about leveling the playing field, amplifying voices, and ensuring equal opportunities for all.

What we do

At our organization, we are deeply committed to promoting women empowerment through a multifaceted approach. Our strategies are rooted in the belief that empowerment is not a one-size-fits-all solution but a holistic endeavor that requires targeted interventions across various spheres of life. Through our initiatives, we aim to break down barriers, build capacity, and create enabling environments where women can thrive and fulfill their potential.

Our approach encompasses a range of activities, from advocacy and awareness-raising to capacity-building and economic empowerment. By leveraging partnerships, innovative programs, and grassroots initiatives, we strive to address the complex and interconnected challenges that women face. Central to our approach is the principle of inclusivity, ensuring that marginalized and vulnerable women are not left behind but are actively included and empowered.

Some of our works

Mushroom Cultivation Training Program
One of our flagship programs, the Mushroom Cultivation Training Program, exemplifies our commitment to providing tangible opportunities for women in rural areas. Through this initiative, we have empowered 30 women to become entrepreneurs by providing them with comprehensive training and support in mushroom cultivation. Operating in the rural hinterlands of Hazaribagh District, these women are not only generating income for themselves but also contributing to local economic development and food security.

Eskahti Awareness Program
Awareness is the first step towards empowerment. Through our Eskahti Awareness Program, we strive to educate and inform women about their rights, health, and well-being. By conducting workshops, seminars, and outreach activities, we empower women with knowledge and agency, enabling them to make informed decisions and advocate for their rights within their communities.

SHG Formation Program
Self-Help Groups (SHGs) have proven to be a powerful tool for economic empowerment and social cohesion among women. Recognizing this, we have supported the formation of over 500 SHGs, providing women with a platform to pool their resources, access financial services, and engage in collective decision-making. These SHGs serve as catalysts for change, enabling women to embark on income-generating activities, access markets, and build social capital.

Swarjayti Rojgar Yojna
Economic empowerment lies at the heart of women’s empowerment. Through the Swarjayti Rojgar Yojna, we aim to create livelihood opportunities for women in sectors such as agriculture, handicrafts, and small-scale enterprises. By providing training, seed capital, and market linkages, we enable women to become self-reliant and break the cycle of poverty. This program not only enhances women’s economic status but also fosters their sense of dignity, autonomy, and agency.
